Child Grooming Awareness & Prevention for Teens (Ages 12-17)
One in ten children will become a victim of sexual abuse before they turn 18, and the alarming reality is that 72% of child grooming cases initiated through social media have emerged since the onset of COVID.
As parents, it is our responsibility to equip children with the knowledge and awareness to safeguard them from the dangers of virtual and in-person grooming.
After many requests for a version of our Child Grooming Awareness & Prevention Course for Teens, we finally have one for youth ages 12-17!
We leverage critical thinking exercises to help children understand how child grooming works to manipulate, deceive, and exploit and the questions they can ask themselves about the intentions of adults they interact with.
What's Included:
🔹 Zoom Course: Students can join from the comfort of their own homes. This one-hour session on Zoom requires active participation. Attendees will learn about grooming behaviors, legal repercussions for offenders and learn effective strategies to protect themselves and others from potential online and in-person grooming predators.
🔹 Helpful Resource Links: We will share a comprehensive list of helpful resources after completing the course. These additional materials will enable students and parents to delve further into the topics covered, deepen understanding, and refer to if a report needs to be made.
🔹 10-Minute Q&A Session: We understand the importance of addressing specific concerns and queries. Our course concludes with a dedicated 10-minute Q&A session, allowing students to seek clarification and discuss any burning questions or comments they may have.
